Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.0): Best: Shelton/Sheamus vs. Yoshi/Goldust. Worst: feud shifts. Breaking Point is coming and ECW did a much better job of leading into it than Raw did. Granted it had one match going (Regal vs. Christian), but it was set up well. Regal gets in the last shot on Christian and a Regal Stretch on Dreamer. We know what it means (Christian retains for now), but it was still built well. Leading up to it, though, was some really weird stuff. Hurricane gets dropped on what looks like a tilt-a-whirl side slam. Not sure what it was, but it did take the match down a notch despite the recovery to the finish. Gotta love Striker here for playing devil's advocate to the Helms/Hurricane identity issue. What happened to Courtney Taylor? Seems like she was doing just fine, and then someone new enters. I make it a point not to snoop too deeply into the news, but in this instance I really would like an explanation here. Shelton/Sheamus vs. Yoshi/Goldust was a good match, but right out of the gate I was confused about the pairing. One of these days Shelton is going to break his neck falling off the face-heel fence he's been vicariously tip-toeing on since arriving in ECW. The brawl was nice, and starting a feud for blind-tagging the upstart to get a pin is a much better reason than a never fully engaged talent contest. Speaking of Ryder, the other half of that feud, what gives with the jobber? He got the win to keep his push, but what happened to kill the Benjamin-Ryder feud? Lost potential there. And what was with the god-awful editing during Zack's match? Looks like Tatsu isn't high on the list either. Maybe a change from the cute music is in order. I liked how Tiffany addressed the issue of the Dreamer/Christian payback on Regal's Roundtable calling it "fair is fair" for the previous Roundtable attack. For once, action and reaction were explained in a sensible way. Tonight some obvious transitions happened, but there was some major foot tripping to move along those transitions. Hopefully, it will be smoother next week.

Justin James of Columbia, S.C. (8.0): Best: MVP-Jericho. Worst: Bourne-Guerrero. Was I dreaming, or did I see an episode of Raw which featured an actual wrestling match before the first commercial break? And that was indeed a brilliant opening segment; everything about it was 100 percent perfection. If I were grading this show on a curve and the only people in the class were the last three months of Raw, it would easily be a 10.0 show. Bob Barker was the best guest host yet, surpassing even Shaq. On that note, it amazes me that the "Christina" chant is still alive. They might regret that one day. MVP-Jericho was an excellent TV match, and shows (once again) that MVP deserves higher billing. All of the matches with prizes on the line were predictable. The Santino-Big Show "match" was hilarious. Bourne-Guerrero was actually a very good match, but unfortunately, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler have no clue how to call a fast-paced match. Even worse, Hornswoggle's interference was completely predictable. I am getting increasingly annoyed with the way DQ rules seem to not exist when Hornswoggle is in the ring, whether it be as outside interference, biting his opponent, or worse. It makes Evan Bourne look really weak to need Hornswoggle's help to get a dirty win over a guy who can't beat Hornswoggle eight weeks (or so) in a row. Where were the Colons? Where was Jack Swagger? The Miz? Hopefully, I'll be seeing them on Superstars. DX clearly wants me to "suck it" because I am not down with them in the slightest. I am sick of watching two guys with a combined age over 90 act like Beavis and Butthead. The main event was decent until the ending. Again, like Hornswoggle, Triple H seems immune to DQs (in this case, being in the ring forever without a tag). The ending was really, really predictable. Their "submissions count anywhere" match is sure to be one giant gimmick, and I don't care to see it. It's totally confusing, too. Do tags count anywhere as well? Is it no DQ? Do they even need to tag?
