WWE Breaking Point PPV Reax #2: "I thought Cena-Orton was going to be ho-hum and downright awful, but the real star shined bright as ever..."

-- 9/13 WWE Breaking Point PPV Reax

Chad Holdren of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., country singer (6.0): Best Match: Cena vs. Orton XIIIIIIIIIII. Worst Match: Taker vs. Punk. Okay...so don't get me wrong here, I am only 27-years-old and when the original screwjob took place, I was still in the kid mindset of wrestling was semi-real. That brought everything that I have ever thought of wrestling right to its breaking point (no pun intended). But, after watching tonight and seeing as Bret Hart was inducted into the Hall of Fame even after Bret said that he wanted nothing to do with the WWE ever again and didn't even attend WrestleMania that weekend, it made me SICK as a die hard Hart fan. What does WWE do? They do it all over again, but this time it was "scripted" and I can swear to you right now that had to be a slap in the face to every Canadian wrestling fan that watches WWE. Great way to make your ratings drop even further in the international markets, Vinnie Mac. The Cena vs. Orton match was actually everything I thought it wouldn't be. I thought it was going to be ho-hum and downright awful, but the real star shined bright as ever as Orton didn't lose ANY of his heel heat at all and actually gained a lot more credibility as a top-tier heel by saying I quit. Hopefully the title won't stay on Cena long. All I can really see coming out of this is yet another triple threat or four-way at Hell in a Cell for the WWE Title. It will probably be between Cena, Orton, Triple H, and someone else. Maybe they will throw HBK in the mix to distance themselves away from the watered down DX that we all know is on its last leg. Ziggler, Ziggler, Ziggler. Way to lose what steam you had coming into a major IC Title feud by opening your mouth and showing us all that you simply can't cut a promo. That's all I am going to say about Mr. Ziggles. To end, I just want to say that the best performer on Raw is none other than The Miz. He's a breakout star, WWE. They need to push this guy hard right down our throats kinda like they do with the whole PG and Cena stuff.

Julian Mazur, Torch reader: Best match: Taker vs. Punk and Christian vs. Regal. Worst match: Everything else. I don't consider Taker-Punk another screwjob; I'd consider it a storyline. It's nearly written that Taker will win at Hell in a Cell and this gives a good build-up. Regal performed really well, considering his age, showing agility and speed. He pulled out a few new moves and the match could have gone either way. I was hoping for Regal. DX-Legacy was crap, all things considered. Kane-Khali was a beer break for me. Not interested, been done, even a gimmick match couldn't save it. Clownboy-Orton was lacking. Lots. Handcuffs? Why are they there? Really disappointing for Raw. The wrong man quit. One if the worst PPVs I've seen in a long time. They had the names, but it felt lacking for some reason. Matches seemed short and not thought out, just thrown together. Even the normally electric Kofi seemed to flatline. Is it just me or is there something wrong with Henry looking like Santa Claus? Good pairing with MVP and glad to see the push for Big Slow is winding down.
