John of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Writer (6.0): Best match: Bills-Patriots. Worst match: No Batista heel turn. Did not get much Stratusfaction last night. The announcement of Batista not retiring, but instead switching brands was a bigger letdown than another Cena title run and match against Randy Orton. Obviously, WWE has a job requirement: When you get injured or violate the Wellness Policy (Rey Rey), you must get new tattoos, as was evidenced by Batista's new work, which is obviously to hide his arm surgeries. Here is an idea: Batista-Orton at WrestleMania 26 - Loser must get all tattoo work removed. Trish didn't seem that inspired in her opening intros, and got a lot of boos for bringing up Bob Barker doing a nice job. I liked the interaction with Trish, Chris Jericho, and Beth Phoenix. And again, revisionist history prevails in WWE. Trish turned heel on Jericho, or we don't remember that, right? Looking at Big Show, he must be the world's largest Colorado Rockies fan with his purple ring attire. Kind of reminds me of the late John Tenta's "Shark" get-up in his WCW run. I instantly saw a six-person tag when Show interfered and Mark Henry ran in for the save. Finally, no more Horns and Chavito. Time to move Chavo to Smackdown and Horns back to ECW and have him get attacked by Sheamus. Now, we will see Batista on Friday Night against C.M. Punk. It will be interesting how they book Batista. He could still be a credible heel, as he's had a history with Undertaker, the Great Khali (who is now a face), and Edge, who will return as a face to feud with Chris Jericho. What happens first - Batista is re-injured or the Detroit Lions win?
Adam Riemer of New York, N.Y. (n/a) Best: Me watching Monday Night Football instead, and then reading what happened on Raw on PWTorch. Worst: There is no downside to that. I didn't watch Raw on Monday, but I did watch the videos on WWE.com and read about it on PWTorch.com. Needless to say I am glad I took DX's advice a few weeks back and watched something else. I thought Trish looked amazing from what I saw on WCW.com...I mean WWE.com. (I get so confused these days as to which promotion I am watching.) I am glad it seems like she had a good homecoming, but other than that, man I am glad Monday Night Football is back. How many times are we as fans going to be subjected to Orton vs. Batista or Orton vs. Cena? Now Batista goes back to Smackdown (thanks to Jeff Hardy) to feud with C.M. Punk and the inevitable feud with the Undertaker...again (Hey, it was the last good match he had with someone!) If WWE wanted to do something awesome they would turn Big Dave heel and have him and C.M. Punk run roughshod as the top heels on Smackdown over the likes of Morrison, Matt Hardy, a role reversal against Edge, and Rey Mysterio. Needless to say that probably isn't going to happen. Barring a program with Jericho, I am not excited Batista is back. Anyway, the rest of the show sounded like crap. Hey I am happy Legacy is getting some push over DX, but anyone that thinks that Hunter and Shawn are losing two straight PPVs must believe that the Ultimate Warrior is going to return to the WWE for one more run. So, I am not thrilled with that program continuing. Cena wins the title...and has a backstage promo? I guess they wanted to keep the major amounts of boos that Canada gives him to a minimum since they gave him yet another run with the title with no one to feud with other than Orton. What else is awesome? Chavo gave up to a midget, great. Good to see his uncle is actually involved with a (semi) respectable storyline in TNA, but he can't "buy a bucket" (thanks, NBA Jam) in the WWE. Did Evan Bourne support Jeff Hardy on Twitter or something? Why is he in wrestling purgatory? Swagger went from being the top draw on ECW to being a silent partner to the Miz. Maybe he supported Jeff Hardy on Twitter too. I do love Jericho, but I don't love the Big Show. I want Jericho back on Smackdown feuding for the World Title. Basically the tag titles still mean nothing since it's more of a "Jericho and Show can beat anybody" and less about the titles. By the way, how come no one on ECW challenges the tag champs? Needless to say, I am happy Monday Night Football is back. I am one of the many who will be contributing to lower ratings on Raw. Also, as long as I can catch the 20 minute Raw Rebound on ECW, there isn't a need to watch "pro entertainment somewhat wrestling" on Monday's anymore.
