-- 2/4 TNA Impact TV Reax

J. Ward of Raleigh, N.C. (9.0): Best Match: A.J. Styles-Dinero. Some of the strong points from the show were logical booking, some unpredictable endings, strong drama, Dinero pinning A.J., and the mutual respect between Angelina Love and Tara, as well Team 3D and Hernandez. TNA did a lot right to make me want to come back next week. Not too much Hogan, the right amount of Bischoff, and giving JB the line of the night about no one being okay around Bischoff the last ten years. Hall and Pac taking out Nash was a nice swerve. People are comparing TNA to WCW 2000, but I think it's looking more like '80s Crockett Promotions. I really like how multiple contenders are stepping up for A.J.'s belt - Angle, Daniels, Tomko, and now Samoa Joe. It's very reminiscent of Ric Flair have to face multiple challengers in his prime. It's a refreshing change from the same three contenders "taking turns" in WWE. It's a page from the WWE's old "Anything can Happen" playbook. ... On the downside, I'm not sold on Mr. Anderson and where is Jeff Hardy and the rest of the X Division? But, after reading Hulk's statement yesterday, I do believe he's actually trying to give everyone time, albeit not every week, to see who's drawing the ratings. It just might be a formula that works.

T.J. of Pittsburgh, Pa. (5.0): Best Match: Styles vs. Pope. What TNA is doing now is pretty much why WCW lost the battle with the WWE. With the exception of the build up of A.J. vs. Joe for the next PPV (which was done fairly well) and perhaps a decent women's match, everything in TNA revolves around a bunch of guys who can barely even walk to the ring, let alone wrestle. You have a decent enough team as tag champs, but they were completely overshadowed by a team that wasn't any good when they were in their prime, let alone now in the Nasty Boys. My advice to TNA is to forget moving to Monday Night. I am almost to the point of turning off the TV every time Bischoff comes on the screen. His presence is pointless and his feud with Foley is absurd given that we are supposed to believe that an employee would have the ability to fire somebody who was booked as being part-owner. Part of me wishes that Angle would stretch Hogan six ways from Sunday. The other part of me knows, however, that they are likely building toward Hogan wrestling Angle and it makes me want to hurl at the thought of having Angle job to him. All of this while guys like Beer Money and Daniels (not to mention pretty much the entire X Division) sit at home and hope their contracts run out so they can go to the WWE before anybody forgets who they are. My only hope for Beer Money at this point is that they get hooked up with Styles in some sort of Horsemen type unit.

-- 2/4 WWE Superstars Reax

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (9.0): Best: Bourne vs. Carlito. Worst: not much tonight. Coming out of a PPV, Superstars tends to get the short straw in terms of content. Sure, there was nothing outside of the commentary that moved along various storylines (e.g. Edge's return and Shawn's double heartbreak regarding Undertaker), but the matches didn't feel like wasted time in terms of action. I'm not sure where else Morrison-McIntyre can go from here if Morrison isn't moving out of IC Title territory. I'm also getting tired of Matt Hardy hanging in limbo this long. The four ladies aren't usually reliable for decent matches, but they were surprisingly good on the show. Hopefully this doesn't mean that their next match is a crapper. Why Carlito isn't used more I have no idea. The Carlito-Bourne match was easily best of the night. The six-man was good, but we've seen it before and recently. Whatever complex WWE has with smaller guys and mid-carders, they need to get over it more than Vince refusing (in storyline) to get over Bret and Montreal.
