-- 1/19 TNA Impact Reax

954, PWTorch reader (6.0): Best Match: Knockouts cage. Worst Match: Gunner-Styles. I thought the Knockouts did better in one match than any "Diva" has in the last five years. I thought Hardy vs. Storm was okay, but both looked a bit sloppy near the end. The implied three-way bout with Robert Roode, Hardy, and Storm sounds good, though.

Chad Kuhns, PWTorch reader: (7.0) Best Match: Mickie James. vs Madison Rayne. To me, this was not the most technically superior match in Knockouts history. However, it was nice to see TNA emphasizing the Knockouts division and #1 Contendership. Worst Match: Angelina Love vs. Eric Yong. The show was three-fourths of the way to being a really good one before this match brought the show to a halt. It only served to highlight that TNA is wasting two talents who could be used in better ways... I thought the opening segment was good and set up the main event by bringing out the major players. I think Sting continues to do well as the babyface authority figure. I'd like to see TNA look at new ways to get Roode over, though. Not every heel has to be a coward.

Kinder Lucas, PWTorch reader. (4.0) Best Segment: Aries and Shelley. Worst Match: Mickie vs. Madison. First, I feel like TNA is sinking fast. This is sad considering that TNA has an amazing X Division and some of the best athletes in the world. But, I'm tired of the same old matches week in and out. Storm vs. Hardy was a bad move, I thought, as two faces against each other is never good. I did like the set up of Joe and Magnus vs. Morgan and Crimson, though. It's also really nice to see something being done with the X Division. I'd like to see TNA return to main event marches with the X Division because that is what helped grow the company from the start. Plus, it set them apart from other companies.

SE, PWTorch reader (2.0): I thought last night's Impact episode was a let down! The opening segment of Sting, Roode, Hardy, and Storm was as predictable as always. I thought the matches that followed were embarrassing. Having A.J. Styles, who should be in main events, lose to Gunner was pathetic. Also, Magnus losing to Crimson in a squash match was a match-up that could have been something special if given more time... I thought the Knockouts cage match was lame and made me channel surf. The final nail in the coffin was the Eric Young-Angelina Love comedy routine that had absolutely nothing to do with wrestling! At that point, I couldn't watch anymore. My review wouldn't be complete without addressing the Garett Bischoff program. It's clear to me he's only being given a push because of his dad and he's too green for his role. His "secret trainer" will likely turn out to be Hulk Hogan, which I feel is pathetic and predictable!... To me, the only positive note of the show was the interview/challenge segment with Austin Aries and Alex Shelley. They are two great talents who can put on a great match! I believe TNA has a great roster, but TNA hasn't figured out how to put it together. More wrestling without ridiculous storylines, and get rid of the comedy routines!
