-- 4/26 TNA Impact Wrestling Reax

Joe Ward of Raleigh N.C. (optimistic 6.0): Best: Joe/Magnus vs. Hardy/Anderson. Worst: JB-Bischoff. Impact last night was like watching two different shows. The in-ring show was right on; the out-of-ring was mediocre and juvenile at points. The wrestling had all clean wins, and no run-ins. The right people won - Devon, (in a decent match), Joe and Magnus, who, in my opinion, if booked right will be the biggest thing TNA has, Robbie E. over the Gut Check Kid, Angle dominated Anarquia (which was long over due), and even Tessmacher over Kim - I like the idea of a fresh challenger for Kim, and Tessmacher's got the look and popularity. Also, Bobby Roode punching the Gut Check guy - loved it, and how Roode is committing to his character. What didn't work was the Hogan Show and the "My Champions" talk. Or, Bischoff getting pushed over in a port-a-john. Overall, Impact left me optimistic - clean finishes and LOGICAL unpredictability will make me come back. I also like the idea of the TV Title being defended weekly - they need to go a step further and make it a stepping-stone to a World Title shot.

Richard H. of Wilmington, Ohio (7.0): Best: Fight Night concept. Worst: any time Bischoff or Bollea were on-screen. Solid 7.0 for everything else. For the first time in over a year, I was able to watch TNA Wrestling. As luck would have it, it was the debut of "Fight Night" and the name fit the bill. For what I had been used to seeing from TNA, it was much improved. It still had too much Hogan, and way too much Bischoff, but the wrestling action and assorted promos pulled it out. Devon and Bully both were very acceptable as single wrestlers, and the company played up the tension between weird Jeff and Egotistical Ken very well. The tag main event would have been WWE's best tag match of the year, which says more about the anemic WWE tag tean scene than this match. And the Divas - excuse me, the Knockouts - actually managed to look attractive and wrestle a match without resorting to looking like underdressed aerobic instructors.
