-- WWE Raw Reax 7/9

Justin of South Portland, Maine, gas station manager, VIP member: Hi, my name is Justin, and I am an abuse victim. Again and again, I go back to what hurts me, think they will change, and things will go back to the way they were; that we can be happy again. So, every Monday, I sit down and tell my girlfriend, "Tonight's show will be different. Tonight won't suck." But, alas, it does. WWE is like a high school girl. She wears a cute outfit, get complimented on it, and wears nothing but that until long after it frays. A.J. was a very cute outfit. Now, she is starting to fray. I pray Money in the Bank has something to redeem a once-fun storyline. ... So, Hornswoggle is the Mystery GM. I would rather mainline Drano then think about how that fits in any way, shape, or form. Was I stupid to be hopeful; that maybe WWE would give us something better than this? I was. I hope to learn from my mistake. And, never let them hurt me again. I hear TNA is gotten good again.

Dave Harlequin of Charlotte, N.C. (1.0): Best: Punk/A.J.-Bryan/Eve (I guess). Worst: Everything else. The opening promo summed it up. What a load of crap! Nearly every match on the show royally sucked, especially the one that was supposedly "voted on" by the "WWE Universe" - am I really supposed to believe that the fans actually want to see Cole-Lawler again? Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that poll was rigged, and even if it wasn't, this "RawActive" thing is going to ruin this show, even more than going to three hours was probably going to anyway... Not to be outdone by TNA & Cop-Out Claire, Hornswoggle is the Anonymous GM - I don't even have words for that garbage programming... The "1,000th" Raw had better be good, and the "1,001st" episode better be just as good, or I'm done watching. Good job, WWE, you just lost at least three PPV buys this week from my friends & me.

Steve in Pompano Beach, Fla., raconteur & bon vivant (2.0): Best: Punk/A.J./Bryan segments. Worst: everything else. In the immortal words of Charlie Brown, "good grief." This Raw was awful, both as a standard episode and as the lead-in for Money In The Bank. Not one single match made me want to order MITB. And, even though I've enjoyed the dynamic of the Punk/A.J./Bryan storyline since it began, I feel that it came very close to jumping the shark tonight. The marriage proposal bits were just flat, and the main event (along with what followed) wasn't much better. It seems that WWE's officially put all of their eggs in one basket, making the whole "Who walks out of MITB as WWE Champion?" aspect foremost. But, on Raw, it looked as if they tried too hard to present that as the main focus for the PPV, whereas everything else may end up being secondary. Unless something big happens on the show itself, I think MITB will end up DOA.
