WWE Raw Reax #3: "If you ever wondered what a live Family Guy episode would look like..."

-- 7/30 WWE Raw Reax

Richard H. of Wilmington, Ohio (6.0): Best: Sheamus-Bryan match. Worst: Tout. By the way, can anyone explain the difference between No Holds Barred and a Street Fight? ... Well, Raw wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but they clearly have issues filling three hours with a quality product and yet they still have an over-run. And, for all the good items (Punk's promos, A.J. as GM, some good matches and entertaining psychoanalysis), they kept undercutting them with bad (any time AlberTensai is on the screen, their social media obsession, Charlie Sheen, and especially Tout). Punk absolutely shined as the newly-minted heel, Cena still evokes massive reaction from the crowd, and Show is still holding his own against them - for now. But, the Divas division continued its slow slide back into obscurity as the only Divas on the show were two dancers, a queen bee, and a power-suit-wearing A.J. as GM... I really don't know or care what they are doing with the so-called tag team division. And, the U.S. Title is totally irrelevant as long as Santino is merely a clown act. The belt should be transitioned to an up-and-comer like Sandow or Clay (if they tone down his dancing schtick, he could be a believable U.S. champion).

Mike Booble in Oregon: If you ever wondered what a live action Family Guy episode would look like, Raw gave us a good glimpse. Every time they came back from commercial, there was a flashback. Whenever they mentioned Triple H, they did a flashback. They even did multiple flashback recaps of the fire they set THAT NIGHT. If this is the kind of show we are going to get on a regular basis, three hours every Monday night is going to seriously drag. The tough part about the show was they had more than enough good segments to make a great two-hour episode. But, once again they needed to fill time, so what's the best solution? Have the United States champion lose again. Comedy acts are fine in the middle of a three-hour show, as it brings a bit of levity to a monotonous program, but he shouldn't be champ. And, he certainly shouldn't be losing to a guy who's less over than his personal ring announcer or the cars he drives into the arena.

Kevin, PWTorch reader (3.5): Best: Punk putting The King in his place. Worst: A.J. as GM. Every time A.J. speaks, she seems to be searching for her lines and when she delivers them, the lines have the excitement of Big Johnny... I still say Santino needs to lose the U.S. Title, as he's not doing it any justice! If this is the future plans for this belt, then just retire it because right now it has the relevance of the European Title or the Lightweight belt!... The tag team division remains a joke as well. Seeing the APA and Road Warrior Animal on Raw 1,000 (999) last week just reminded me of how great of a division it used to be compared to what it is now. On another note, what happen to the Draft? Did the Supershow eliminate it? #TheViperisback!
