By James Caldwell, PWTorch columnist

- On the first day with Barack Obama as President-elect in the U.S., the stock market took a nice little nosedive of 490 points after rallying on Tuesday for a 300-point Election Day gain. New day. Same script.

WWE's stock actually stayed right around Tuesday's close, so WWE was not affected by today's drop. For the week, though, WWE stock is down by a noticeable margin. WWE opened at $14.16 on Monday and has settled to $13.80 at the end of today's trading.

Tomorrow will be big, as the company reports third quarter 2008 earnings. Right now, there is zero buzz about this earnings report in the financial sector. And for obvious reasons on the week of a presidential election.

- WWE begins a grueling European Tour tonight in Manheim, Germany, without Super Crazy. We're looking for reports throughout the tour, so for our European readers, be sure to send in a report if you attend tonight's show in Germany or any shows on the tour. It's expected to be yet another lucrative trip through Europe for WWE, with most of the shows already sold out in big arenas.

- Chris Jericho returns to TV tonight with episode two of his "Redemption Song" show at 11:00 p.m. EST on FUSE TV. Jericho was on the interview trail all last week promoting the show, but we haven't seen any ratings information just yet.

Tonight's episode is described as: "The girls prepare for a VIP party and are surprised when they have to perform at a sweet sixteen party in front of a bunch of obnoxious, demanding kids." Meanwhile, here's some Chris Jericho from "Fozzy" to brighten up your day with an inspiring music video.

- We have some interesting poll results to break down after Monday's Raw when Chris Jericho recaptured the World Hvt. Title. We posed a question to Torch readers on the direction WWE should go with the belt. Keep it on Jericho for a while? Put it back on Batista? How about Orton? Maybe even have Cena win the belt at Survivor Series? Or, maybe put it on someone else entirely, like Mae Young?

The poll results came in pretty strong and Jericho won the required number of electoral votes and the popular vote to win this poll. (Acceptance speech not included, however.) The option to "Keep it on Jericho for months" picked up 54 percent of the total vote in an overwhelming margin over the runner-up, which was to get the belt back on C.M. Punk with 12 percent.

We can rest assured Punk's second title reign is not coming up in the near future, yet interestingly enough, only 12 percent of Torch readers are even considering John Cena. We even had two options for Cena: put it on him at Survivor Series or have Cena win the belt a few months down the road.

Our readers clearly want the belt on Jericho over the long-haul. My fear is the belt becoming a hot potato, which WWE thankfully stayed away from for a few years, but has suddenly re-discovered the habit of switching up the World Title holders. Considering Vince McMahon changing his mind from week-to-week and day-to-day, we very well could see Cena win the belt at Survivor Series, then lose it back shortly thereafter. You just never know.

But, looking at this long-term, as the Torch readers have agreed upon, the belt needs to remain with Jericho. He's the top heel in the company. He's drawn the most heat of any heel on the roster. And he could set up a good chase between Batista and Cena to fight, scratch, and claw for a title shot against Jericho.

I wrote after the Cyber Sunday PPV that Batista as World champ brought instant stability to the Raw brand. It did for all of two weeks, but now it's time for WWE to hit the restart button on Jericho and book him in a more credible fashion to make him a viable heel threat to the top babyfaces on the roster.

Jericho is a candidate we can buy into and the readers have spoken in agreement.

- Did you know TNA has a PPV on Sunday? It didn't really sink in until this afternoon when I grabbed the TNA PPV trailer teaser video. Essentially, the wrestlers are doing worked shoots on the Veterans vs. Youngsters storyline to be played up at the Turning Point PPV on Sunday.

You wouldn't even know that A.J. Styles is challenging Sting for the TNA World Title in four days based on Impact last week or this trailer. In any event, here are some of the classic worked shoot statements in the video trailer promoting the Main Event Mafia vs. Young Lions storyline.

Sting as heel Steve Borden: "Ah c'mon, you gotta be kidding me. They're going to tune into TNA to watch what's happening because of same of the names. That's just a shoot. Period."

Kurt Angle as, well, Kurt Angle: "These young guys think that they know everything and they don't. They're not going to fill seats and they're not going to draw PPV buys. We are. And if they can't respect that, then screw them."

Angle: "Who's Samoa Joe? If I saw him in an airport, I wouldn't recognize him."

Borden: "You've got a generation of guys that just are expecting their cake and they want to eat it too. They want the big contract. Now."

Samoa Joe: "Why are these guys getting paid almost two, three times what most of the wrestlers working their asses of for TNA are getting paid? And they barely even show up."

Angle: "Yeah, we make a lot of money. A heck of a lot more than them. But, we deserve it. We are the ones who make the show. And we are the only ones who will continue to do it until these dumbasses smarten up."

Booker T, with accent: "I have been here one year and the ratings have been through the roof." JC: If the roof is on a very tiny house with the top floor 1.0 and the bottom floor 0.9.

A.J. Styles: "The issues that I have with the veterans are simply, 'What are you doing here? Did you not save your money?' You don't want to pass the torch? Fine, we'll take it from you. It's not about respect. It's about the veterans losing the spotlight."

- ROH's latest Video Wire came out yesterday. A little bit of Rhett Titus, clips of Austin Aries being dragged out of the ring after his match against Jimmy Jacobs two weekends ago, and a parking lot brawl are among the highlights.

The best production value on the entire deal goes to the bleeping noise to cover for some apparent cussing during the parking lot brawl from Edison, N.J. two Saturdays ago. Of course, if you can't hear anything being said, it's hard to know what was actually bleeped. In any event, video wire is below.
