Tonight's edition of ROH TV on HDNet will feature the first steel cage match on ROH TV with Claudio Castagnoli vs. Brent Albright. WWE Raw - 9:00 p.m. EST
WWE champion John Cena will be running the gauntlet on tonight's Raw leading to the Hell in a Cell PPV on October 4. Like any good piece of booking, the deck is stacked against the champ when he's scheduled to face Chris Jericho, Big Show, and #1 contender Randy Orton. Mainstream newspapers taking their shots at wrestling
Mainstream newspapers continue to take their shots at pro wrestling related to Reverend Al Sharpton appearing on Raw tomorrow night and Linda McMahon running for Senator in the state of Connecticut.
A writer for the Herald-Sun in Durham, N.C. (city where Duke University is located) suggested Rev. Sharpton is "lowering himself" to appear on Raw. In Connecticut, the Norwich Bulletin has a story on the five candidates running for the Republican nomination in the 2010 Senate race. Long-time WWE critic Phil Mushnick opened his Monday column in the New York Post with a look at WWE's history of drug-related deaths, use of socially irresponsible storylines, and creation of stereotypical characters. Jim Cornette returns to ROH
Former TNA agent Jim Cornette returned to Ring of Honor at Saturday night's show in New York City one week after being fired by TNA. He will be an executive producer for ROH TV on HDNet. Celebrity gossip columns cover Hulk and Linda's latest storylines
Celebrity gossip publications, including People Magazine, report that Hulk Hogan and his girlfriend each received tattoos during a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Hogan's girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, reportedly had "Terry" inked on her wrist. Hogan had one of the names of God tattooed on his forearm. Read the complete Torch Report.
