Original question: The December 15, 2001 edition of Ohio Valley Wrestling featured an all-star cast of former or current WWE stars as part of WWE's developmental program at the time. It was the golden era of developmental talent based on who came out of OVW to become huge stars. On this December episode of OVW TV, which of the following four was NOT on the show?

(a) Prototype (John Cena)
(b) Nick Dinsmore (Eugene)
(c) Leviathan (Batista)
(d) Shelton Benjamin

The answer is (d) Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin was in OVW at the time, but after Brock Lesnar was called up to the main WWE roster in November 2001, Benjamin was left without his Minnesota Wrecking Crew tag team partner.

On the card, "Prototype" John Cena beat Rob Conway in the opening match, Batista (Leviathan) won the main event TV match, and Nick Dinsmore (Eugene) teamed with Rob Conway (yes, he was in two matches) to win the OVW Southern tag titles.

Actually, leading Torch Trivia answer-er Sam Robinson checks in that Shelton made a run-in during the show, so the question is best answered as which wrestler was not in a sanctioned match on the card. Thanks to Sam for that clarification.

The Prototype was with Boland Services, Nick Dinsmore was a tag team with Damaga, Leviathan was put into a position to win the OVW title because Jim Cornette didn't want the Machine Doug Basham to be champion, and Shelton Benjamin was in a tag team with Brock Lesnar called the Minnesota Stretching Crew.
