Wade Keller: Besides your parents, were there any role models as far as wrestlers you patterned yourself after or you looked to for guidance or an example of living frugally and not falling in the same traps as some of the other guys?
Keller: I think that's a good lesson in terms of putting your money into your business or your self in ways that are smart.
Keller: Were there any wrestlers who were cheap to a fault, where they weren't just being frugal, but it was kind of annoying. In other words, they would skimp on a dinner check or shared cab fares and that type of thing? Can you take it too far?
Keller: On a separate note, who are some of the wrestlers you think should have gotten pushes, but they blew it.
Keller: (laughs) I was trying to get you to name names about who stole without having you to actually say.
Keller: No.
Keller: You do know that was his reputation. You just don't know if it was deserved or not.
Keller: On a related note, what wrestlers over the years stand out over the years who should have made it, should have been big stars, and somehow just fell off the map or stayed really low on the card. So as kind of a lesson for future generations, what is it that cost them that opportunity? We know drinking can do it. Obviously having a bad reputation in the locker room can do it. Are there a few names that really stand out to you where you're, like, it's such a shame they didn't reach their potential?
Keller: Speaking of Jake Roberts, you spoke earlier too of Big Bossman, and how you didn't like working with him because he didn't extend the courtesy to you to try to have you end up looking better in the end and come out of it looking good.
Keller: I think that's a fair distinction, a good distinction. Take us back to that setting when you would show up at that Superstars of Challenge taping. Did you have any say-so in who you got to wrestle? Was there a certain point where you could have some input or did you show up and you just kind of found out. Walk me through that process.
Keller: Was he like that toward others?
Keller: That's all right. The way wrestlers were used at the Superstars and Challenge tapings back in the '80s, when there were jobbers who would show and some of them were regulars and some of them were locals, did they kind of have to stay to themselves, and if so, where did you fall? I don't consider you a jobber, so to speak. I think you were in a middle zone where you were a known personality, it's just there were stretches of time where you were usually or often losing on TV. How did that locker room camaraderies and locker room segmentation break down? Was everyone one of the boys, or were there separate lunch tables, so to speak?
Keller: They're comical and funny at the same time.
Keller: We're bigger than Regis.
Keller: I appreciate it. Tell me what you know about the Vince McMahon-Hulk Hogan dynamic during that time you were around. What kind of relationship did they have? Who had the power, who manipulated whom? Were they truly friends? Were they happy for each other's success or always at odds? Hit on those points.
Keller: Hulk and Vince. Talk a little bit more about them, though.
