By Bruce Mitchell, PWTorch columnist

I’ve seen some sorry so-called good-guys over the years, but the half-assed so-called heroes in WWE these days are the worst.

Hell, I once watched that martyr Dusty Rhodes get hoisted on a cross of his own making every week. He took a beating from three or four guys about every time the moon came out. I watched dumb ol’ Sting get turned on by so-called friends every week. I’ve seen some sorry babyfaces over the years.

At least Dusty and Sting got to beat up their tormentors on a regular basis. These WWE guys?

Nothing.

I mean, how to describe the acts WWE asks its Universe to get behind? How about:

Out-witted.

Out-matched.

Incompetent.

Impotent.

On Smackdown one hero lost so often he gave up and took the family out of the country. The other top good guy, that little weenie Daniel Bryan, lost so much and so thoroughly he stopped pretending. So that means the big mean giant is now our hero, except he’s such a clod he looks like he’ll break into tears at any moment from the frustration and embarrassment of not being able to seal the deal and get a three-count from this little pipsqueak. That’s not the worst of it, though,

Remember when C. M. Punk was going to be an Agent of Change? That was a long time ago. Monday night, our champion was in the ring, whining about how his opponent at the Royal Rumble whipped his ass three straight times and it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion he’s losing Sunday night. Does it occur to him to be resourceful, to persevere, to act like a hero we can respect? No, he wants to blame the referee, and get this, even before the match has ever happened,

Punk, the loser, starts fantasizing about breaking the referee’s arms so he can’t count him out for the inevitable loss.

Apparently Punk has been watching TNA champion Bobby Roode’s pay-per-view title defenses.

Punk, like most losers, blames the referees for all his recent losses to his challenger. No accountability. Not surprisingly, referees don’t like him, either. Punk stomps his foot, demands the referee come out to the ring right this second, and holds his breath until he gets his way

Of course, like most babies, Punk doesn’t get his way. Apparently, the referee is a grown-up and doesn’t cotton to temper tantrums.

Enter our second so-called hero, John Cena. This moody, disagreeable jerk comes out to show up the whining champion. He’s going to show the champion how it’s done. Of course, he too has been completely...... [This concludes the FREE PREVIEW of this VIP-exclusive article.
