WWE News: Last week's Smackdown - WWE.com spins victory, TV website classifies it otherwise Nov 13, 2007 - 5:12:57 PM
Zap2It.com reports that Smackdown on The CW last Friday drew a 2.9 Fast National rating, a distant fourth place, slightly ahead of the 2.8 rating for Fox programming. Among adults 18-49, Smackdown finished in fourth place last Friday, well ahead of fifth place finisher Fox's "The Next Great American Band" which drew a 1.8 rating, but well behind third place ABC's "Men in Trees" which drew a 4.4. Zap2It reports CBS won Friday night 'in all key demos' with a 6.0 overall rating.
WWE.com, meanwhile, touts that Smackdown was no. 1 among all viewers under age 34. Kids must have carried things for Smackdown, since Zap2It didn't consider the demo Smackdown was no. 1 in significant enough to include in the "all key demos" category.
