WWE News: Raw ratings holds steady with major Flair angle, Jericho's second week (w/Keller's Reax) Nov 28, 2007 - 2:21:05 PM
Raw held steady again at a 3.5 rating (3.54 to be exact), with an increase from hour one (3.41 to hour two (3.67). The past five years, the Monday Raw after Thanksgiving drew ratings of: 3.7, 3,8, 3.9, 3.6, and 3.4.
WK ANALYSIS: With a plug the week before that Ric Flair would be returning and with Jericho's return last week, some enthusiasm in theory should have been present to boost the rating. I've been pretty spot-on in predicting Raw ratings within a tenth of a point lately, but I was wrong here, as I figured Flair's return would draw a 3.8, especially coming a week after Jericho's return. So this is disappointing, and there's a chance it will be utilized by those who don't want to invest heavily in Flair on TV over the coming months to pull back on his TV time and push. The Flair defenders, though, can point to what has been a rarity lately, which is a jump from hour one to hour two. In other words, the promise of a Flair main event against Randy Orton kept viewers who were there and drew more viewers throughout the show than usual.
