WWE News: Raw drops to another ten-year low rating one week before 15h Anniversary (w/Keller's Reax) Dec 5, 2007 - 3:08:30 PM
Without Ric Flair and a largely flat show - not to mention up against a close New England Patriots game as they tried to remain undefeated - Raw dropped this week by nearly 10 percent.
The first hour rating was a 3.2 (3.24 to be precise) and a 3.2 in the second hour (3.23 to be precise) for a 3.2 overall rating, down from last week's 3.5 rating.
This week's rating is considerably lower than the rating for the first week of December last year - which was 3.7. The last time a rating was lower than this week's for the first week of December was Dec. 1, 1997, which drew a 3.0. Otherwise, first-week December ratings (working backwards) have been: 4.1., 3.9, 3.7, 3.3, 4.2, 5.0, 6.0, 5.0.
WK ANALYSIS: The absence of Ric Flair is a factor, the NFL game was a factor, and a flat show in general was a factor. It will be a wake-up call for WWE is next week's three-hour celebration of Raw's 15 years on the air doesn't jump much above average.
