WWE News: Lita added to the short list of dignitaries returning for 15h Raw Birthday (w/Keller Analysis) Dec 6, 2007 - 2:42:49 PM
Lita has been added to the list of wrestlers from the past returning to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Raw. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, and Eric Bischoff are the others listed as of this afternoon. Trish, once on the list, is no longer included.
Keller's Analysis Hulk Hogan, who has barely been part of WWE over the past ten years, and often leaving on bad terms, gets top billing over Steve Austin? It wouldn't shock me if Hogan didn't specify he wanted top billings. It's hardly a star-studded list of former Raw wrestlers. It's kind of sad that there aren't more big names who can be brought back for such an occasion. Several are with TNA, such as the Dudleys, Christian, and Kurt Angle, and many are on Smackdown, such as Undertaker and Batista. And The Rock turned them down, as he's got a lot better things to do for his career than be part of Raw these days. All in all, it just doesn't feel like a line-up that's all that different from normal. In fact, they might have been better off saving Flair for this show and build an angle into it that would propel the retirement storyline. That said, it's tempting to try to get a rating out of both Flair and the anniversary show, and it's also tough to pass up the Charlotte Raw as Flair's return.
