2/17 WWE No Way Out HOLT report #1: What the live crowd saw that PPV viewers didn't Feb 17, 2008 - 11:10:03 PM
PWTorch.com reader M. Scott sent the following notes from attending the WWE No Way Out PPV in person...
I just got back from the show. I'm not sure if any of this made the show or not but here are some off-camera happenings from No Way Out.
Ranjin Singh seemed to be legitimately injured during the Elimination Chamber. He was standing on the stairs outside the cage and got knocked down when Undertaker kicked the cage. Three separate refs made the X signal and the EMTs rushed out. Also, Batasta, MVP, and Finlay all needed assistance in leaving the ring.
After the match, they removed the chamber Finlay was standing in and took it to the back to repair it.
Also after the Smackdown Chamber match they seemed to be cleaning the ring with disinfectant. This was still going on during Mr. Kennedy's entrance. The cage was still being raised as he made his way to the ring. Hornswoggle chased Kennedy from the ring. The entire mat was replaced after this match.
After Big Show attacked him, Rey Mysterio was ran to the back with the help of a ref.
Crowd was about 50/50 for Cena/Orton. At least where I was seated people cheered the DQ win of Cena because he did NOT win the belt.
The most over person for the night was easily Jeff Hardy.
After Triple H won the chamber, he picked up the chair and threw it away. He then picked up Hardy and hugged him. Hardy's music played and Hardy shook everyone's hand at ringside, throwing his wrist and arm bands to some kids. Triple H's music then played some more.
If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to "matchresults07" (@pwtorch. com).
We accept reports in any format, but if it's not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don't just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don't have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.
Also, please list tag teams using the "&" symbol as opposed to stating "and. " Reserve use of " and" when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. " Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match" ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.
Special thanks to everyone who helps us with reports on live events!
