3/3 WWE Raw HOLT report: What the live crowd in Indianapolis saw that TV viewers didn't Mar 4, 2008 - 1:41:48 PM
PWTorch.com reader Michael Weaver Jr. sent the following notes from attending the WWE Raw event in person...
Last night WWE brought Raw to the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition to everything you saw on television, here's what you didn't see...
BEFORE THE LIVE RAW
Before the show began a musical video recap of WrestleMania 23 was aired to advertise the DVD.
Vladimir Kozlov pinned Mike Tooloff (sp?)
Melina (w/Beth Phoenix) pinned Mickie James. After the match, Phoenix told Candice Michelle and Maria to pay attention because this is their future at WrestleMania XXIV. The two ladies then performed a Doomsday Device on James.
Paul London made his in-ring return when he teamed with Brian Kendrick when they defeated Charlie Haas and Robbie of The Highlanders. London pinned Robbie.
Snitsky pinned Val Venis.
A video aired promoting WWE 24/7 On Demand that featured highlights from all of the libraries that WWE owns.
Paul Burchill (w/Katie) defeated "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.
AFTER THE LIVE RAW
After Raw went off the air, Randy Orton returned to the ring and started attacking John Cena and Triple H again. Cena made a comeback and FUed the WWE Heavyweight Champion before leaving the ring. Then Triple H Pedigreed the champion. Triple H would stay for about five to ten minutes to pose for the crowd.
WWE returns to the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. on August 17 for SummerSlam. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Saturday at 10 a.m.
If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to "matchresults07" (@pwtorch. com).
We accept reports in any format, but if it's not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don't just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don't have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.
Also, please list tag teams using the "&" symbol as opposed to stating "and. " Reserve use of " and" when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. " Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match" ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.
Special thanks to everyone who helps us with reports on live events!
