DARK MATCH:
(1) Kofi Kingston defeated Kevin Thorne before the ECW Taping.
SMACKDOWN TAPING
The show begins with Edge, Vickie Guerrero, and Teddy Long in the ring for a Cutting Edge segment. Edge goes on about two things coming to an end at Wrestlemania. Undertaker's winning streak and Ric Flair's career. Flair comes out for an interview. It's announced that tonight The Undertaker will face Edge, Hawkins and Ryder in a 3 on 1 match. Flair tells Edge Taker will beat him at Mania. An angry Edge makes a match next week of Flair vs. Edge, Hawkins and Ryder. But not with his career on the line but for a beating in a steel cage match.
(1) Jesse & Festis & C. M. Punk defeat The Miz & John Morrison & Chavo Guerrero. Good crowd reaction for Festis who gets the pinfall on The Miz.
Jamie Noble decides to "break-up" with Michelle McCool.
(2) Shannon Moore (w/Jimmy Wang Yang) pins Duece (w/Domino) in a singles match.
Jamie Noble asks Vickie Guerrero for another match with Chuck Palumbo, instead he gets the Big Show.
They have some kind of Diva showdown where the viewers have to text for a winner. I went to the restroom.
(3) The Big Show defeats Jamie Noble by referee stoppage. He cuts another strong promo on Floyd Mayweather. The match might bomb, but Big Show is trying his hardest to make the angle work.
(4) MVP defeats Batista by countout to retain the US Title. Good match.
(5) Kane pins Chuck Palumbo in a quick match.
(6) Edge & Hawkins & Ryder defeat The Undertaker in a handicap match. Edge spears Taker for the pin. Nice set-up for their Mania match.
BIGGEST POPS
1. Batista
2. The Undertaker
3. Ric Flair
MOST HEEL HEAT
1. Edge
2. The Big Show
3. MVP
TIPS FOR SENDING IN HOUSE SHOW REPORTS
If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to "matchresults07" (@pwtorch. com).
We accept reports in any format, but if it's not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don't just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don't have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.
Also, please list tag teams using the & symbol as opposed to stating and. Reserve use of and when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.
Special thanks to everyone who helps us with reports on live events!
