WWE News: Note on Raw vs. Smackdown wrestler feud set up at tonight's taping in Miami Apr 1, 2008 - 11:46:49 PM
Shawn Michaels appeared at tonight's Smakdown tapings in Miami, Fla. Batista confronted him about kicking Ric Flair and retiring him. Batista argued that Michaels should not have done that.
There was an interesting exchange that may or may not make TV where Michaels told Batista he "had a job to do" and Batista replied, "No you didn't, and that's the problem" - an obvious inside reference to the fact that "doing a job" is the insider term for "losing" or "getting pinned" in a worked match. Batista also aluded to Michaels having no problems refusing to do jobs in his past.
It set up what appears to be a feud between those two over the dispute regarding Michaels retiring Flair. It didn't seem, based on our source, that either was positioned as a heel, but rather two fan-favorites with a genuine disagreement.
We are looking for a complete report on tonight's tapings from anyone who attended the event. Please sent to pwtorch@gmail.com.
