4/28 WWE Raw HOLT report: What the live crowd saw that the TV viewers didn't Apr 29, 2008 - 12:03:26 AM
WWE Raw HOLT report
March 24, 2008
Columbia, S.C.
Report by Frank Costa, PWTorch VIP member since 2007
I was at Raw at the Izod Center and thought overall it was a good show.
During the main event the live crowd had no idea the TV feed went out when Randy Orton was in the Crossface. Orton put his feet on the ropes to break it up, but Triple H locked it back in. Orton got back to the ropes again to break up the hold again. Orton started hitting Triple H with uppercuts, but he countered with a spinebuster and was signaling like he was getting ready to hit the Pedigree when William Regal came out and stopped the match because we booed him earlier.
The crowd wasn't too upset because the match was very good, and Triple H retained the title anyway. Orton had a lot of heat on him and Triple H was very over. Most of the crowd went home happy because the face left with the title. A few kids seemed dissapointed John Cena didn't come out, though.
PRE-RAW MATCHES
Ron Killings defeated Nick the Natural (a/k/a Nick Nemeth from Spirit Squads porting longer bleached blond hair; no one seemed to recognize him)
Shad defeated Charlie Haas, then they sold the mask he used to wear.
Snitsky defeated Jim Duggan.
Hardcore Holly defeated D.H. Smith.
