WWE News: One long-time tag team appears to be broken up, two more draft moves (w/Keller Analysis) Jun 25, 2008 - 12:54:52 PM
The 21st and 22nd picks in this year's WWE Draft are Matt Striker to Raw and Brian Kendrick back to Smackdown.
Keller's Analysis: The Matt Striker pick to Raw eliminates his chance to be a manager or tag partner of Umaga, which is what I would have suggested. Umaga needs someone to speak for him and give him a sense of purpose and direction. Striker can be that person, and then down the line he'd be a perfect person for Umaga to turn against en route to becoming a babyface, which I think is his best role later this year or next year. The Brian Kendrick move doesn't make much sense unless Paul London follows him back to Smackdown. They are a dynamic tag team with so much more potential to be a component of WWE's product that draws the type of fans who relate to and like smaller, more athletically exciting wrestlers, something Vince McMahon doesn't relate to as a tall muscular proponent, but is something as a businessman he should better embrace.
