WWE celebrates 800 episodes (not necessarily the 800th episode) of Raw tonight in Tampa, Fla. with a three-hour show. USA Network wants more three-hour specials because WWE typically draws a larger audience in the standard 9:00-11:00 p.m. EST window when there is a major event.

Even if the additional third hour at 8:00 p.m. isn't a strong draw because not enough people are aware that there is three hours of WWE programming tonight, the usual two hours of Raw will have enough hype behind it to bring in the once-in-a-while viewers.

Additionally, WWE has been promoting the celebration more effectively than the 15-year celebration a few months ago. Even Vince McMahon went on the radio to promote this three-hour special.

Matches announced for tonight:

- World Hvt. champion Batista vs. Chris Jericho inside a steel cage for the World Title. Jericho has been on the interview tour the past seven days talking about Vince McMahon's mindset in taking the World Title belt off him and giving it to Batista.

Jericho has thrown out a few hints (or potential red herrings) regarding the future of the storyline, but it's expected Batista will retain to potentially set up Batista vs. John Cena at the Survivor Series for Cena's big return match in his hometown area of Boston.

- Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. The Miz & John Morrison. DX re-re-re-unites for another tag match opportunity to either bury a younger team or actually elevate a team that is hot right now. For the past few weeks, it seems like The Miz has created momentum for his team with better wrestling and a definitive heelish personality on the mic.

For Shawn Michaels, it might be like looking into the mirror to see himself and Marty Jannetty as the Rockers back in the late 1980s. This match will be the most closely watched of the night.

- 16-diva tag match. WWE is throwing 16 divas into the ring for a presumed eight-on-eight tag match featuring the divas of Raw, Smackdown, and ECW. Based on recent history, the match probably won't last more than a few minutes, which means a lot of show and not a lot of action for some of the divas.
