PWTorch.com Alex Roberts sent the following report on the ECW portion of tonight's TV tapings...

ECW opened with The Miz, John Morrison and Jack Swagger beating Cryme Time and Tommy Dreamer in a good six-man match. It’s worth pointing out I think how massively out of place Miz and Morrison look on live WWE shows right now because they’re just about the only act that looks like they belong in the same era as the audience they’re working in front of. It’s noticeable on TV but so much more noticeable live.

Mark Henry squashed a local jobber who’s name I missed, after the match Grisham tried to interview Henry who pretty much ignored him and went to the back. The crowd was fairly dead for this.

Matt Hardy and Finlay have a very good and highly competitive ECW Title match that split the crowd down the middle, although I had expected Finlay to get more local support given that he’s pretty much a home grown talent. Interestingly though the crowd seemed to be split with older fans behind Hardy and the younger fans behind Finlay (and Hornswoggle). Neither man got much in the way heat during the match though. Really good match though, which Hardy won.

Unless they’ve got a lot of backstage segments that they didn’t air during the tapings then this is going to be a very wrestling heavy edition of ECW. No sign of Ortiz this week despite the fact he was brought back to TV last week after going MIA for a couple of weeks. Also no sign of the token Teddy Long appearance on the show either, not that I mind that much. All in all though should be a very good edition of ECW this week anchored by a good six-man and a really good ECW Title match.
