It's been nearly nine months since now-retired boxer Floyd Mayweather appeared at WrestleMania 24 in Orlando to defeat the Big Show in a special attraction match. But, the story continues to grow.

Rapper 50 Cent told ESPN.com this week that he got into an altercation with Mayweather over the supposed $20 million payday Mayweather was bragging about and WWE was promoting as a legit figure.

50 Cent wanted a piece of the purse if Mayweather was going to continue claiming 50 was going to be involved in the match with Big Show. A fight ensued when Mayweather was bragging about having $1.0 million with him.

"He was going to do the match in WWE at Wrestlemania and he started telling everyone that I was going to be there," 50 Cent said. "So everyone got all excited and started asking me if I was going to come, and I was like, 'If you're really getting $20 million for this, then give me some money.' ... He had one million dollars in the bag, it was physically right in front of me, so why should I have to wait to get paid? Just give me that money right there.

50 Cent said that's what started their scuffle, which led to him grabbing Mayweather in the air before Mayweather punched him over the ear.

"He tried to tell me what to do so I grabbed him," he said. "I snatched his little ass up then he hit me and was like 'What's wrong with you?' We were mad for a second, but then everything went back to normal."
