In the fourth quarter 2008, WWE Studios reported $5.0 million in revenue from past films starring Kane and John Cena. WWE attributed this to collecting revenue after paying expenses related to "See No Evil" and "The Marine," while also earning revenue from DVD sales.

WWE began recording revenue from their investment in film projects during third quarter 2007 and the reported revenue has fluctuated since then. Overall, WWE has reported $40.4 million in total revenue from movies.

WWE currently has $31.7 million in assets tied to current film projects such as Mr. Kennedy's "Behind Enemy Lines," John Cena's "12 Rounds," and Ted DiBiase's "The Marine 2."

In the quarterly conference with investors, WWE reported that "Behind Enemy Lines" is "performing well" after its release in the first quarter of this year.

CFO George Barrios did not disclose information, as they have not received full data from their movie distribution partner. The cost of the movie was in the $4-5 million range, which they're splitting with FOX Atomic.

Following is a breakdown of current movie projects after the "12 Rounds" release on March 27 with insider details on some of the projects.

-- "The Marine 2:" The movie will be released in 2010 exclusively on DVD, similar to Mr. Kennedy's movie. Ted DiBiase, Jr. is taking John Cena's lead role. The entire movie was shot in Thailand at a resort hotel that agreed to let WWE Studios and the Living Films production team blow up the area for action scenes.

The Adamas Resort & Spa was selected after "many long days" of negotiations. It is surrounded by jungle-covered mountains and created the backdrop for the movie.

Living Films says completion time was 24 days and the production team came in under budget and on schedule. They believe they "set a new bar for level of production value possible when shooting a lower budget feature film in Thailand."

-- "Missing in Action:" WWE is teaming with MGM to reproduce the 1984 action movie by the same name that starred Chuck Norris. The movie will be distributed exclusively on DVD. WWE is teaming with Hollywood movie producer Andrew Stevens on the project.

The movie will have an updated military theme centered on the Iraq War. The original movie was set in the Vietnam War. "The new film will be updated to reflect modern military realities," reports Hollywood Reporter.

-- "Suckerpunch:" WWE's next theatrical release is scheduled for October 8, 2010 when Paul Wight (Big Show) stars in "Suckerpunch." The movie is based on the bare-knuckle fighting and it will reportedly be a comedy movie.
