Vince McMahon was against putting Christian in the Money in the Bank ladder match, according to Jason Powell of prowrestling.net. Keller's Analysis: TNA really valued Christian Cage and wanted to re-sign him. They offered him a strong six-figure deal, but sources say the deciding factor for Christian was the upside pay in WWE was greater than in TNA over the next three to five years, plus he had little faith in TNA's creative team. Another factor certainly was that his good friend Adam Copeland (Edge) is a major player in WWE, and with their past connections on air, it's inevitable Christian would get a chance to main event against him. It just appears that it's going to take longer than Christian had hoped to get a significant push. With this news that McMahon was against Christian even being in the MITB match, it removes Christian from my short list of favorites to win that match. Christian jobbing seemingly every week on ECW TV has hurt him, but better on ECW in front of an audience one-third the size of Smackdown and Raw. It's amazing that McMahon would think so little of Christian since he has such tenure with WWE fans, can cut very good promos, and can work a solid WWE style match. What works against him is his physique which isn't going to win a bodybuilding content and the fact that Christian "left the family" and went to TNA in the first place a few years ago. McMahon may want to downplay Christian in part to prove that Christian wasn't a big star when he jumped to TNA and didn't benefit from main event and world title matches in TNA.
