WWE star John Cena says he is going to work two full-time jobs as a pro wrestler for WWE and movie actor in Hollywood. Cena received advice from "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson, as well as Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura, but he's downplaying what they told him.

"They all kind of gave me the same advice, and it was very vague but very positive. Don't do anything too fast and always work hard," Cena told Jim Varsallone in the Miami Herald. "That was pretty much the cliff-notes from what they said to me."

Cena has been publicly out-spoken against Johnson for leaving pro wrestling to focus exclusively on his movie career. Based on his dismissal of Johnson's advice, Cena's opinion is that Johnson could have wrestled and acted if he cared about the wrestling business.

Hogan and Ventura have been featured in over ten movies during their careers while Johnson is filming movies on a consistent schedule. Cena says he's going to push himself to take it one step beyond the trio he sought advice from.

"I'm going to be the first guy to work two full-time jobs," Cena said. "I'm certainly not going to leave wrestling anytime soon, but I'm not going to do movies as a hobby. I really want to devote 100-percent effort into any project I get involved with."

In a recent interview with the L.A. Times, Hogan said he told Dwayne Johnson not to do movies and pro wrestling because Hollywood wouldn't take him seriously. Hogan says he learned the hard way because he was offered C-level movie roles when he had one foot still in wrestling.

Cena believes he can do both and still receive compelling movie roles, especially with WWE Studios backing him. Hogan and Ventura didn't have the benefit of WWE creating a completely new business division to feature WWE wrestlers in movies. Johnson left the company just as WWE Studios (then WWE Films) was being formed.

Around the time "12 Rounds" comes out on DVD, Cena will begin filming his third movie. The movie - another action film - is currently in pre-production and Cena says they start rolling tape in June or July.
