WWE star John Cena says he'll make the decision on when to quit wrestling when his body tells him it's time, but he doesn't anticipate that happening soon. Cena appeared on ESPNews this afternoon to promote "12 Rounds" and WWE WrestleMania 25.

"That's a decision that literally everyone involved in anything physical has to make," Cena said in response to when he'll know when it's time to stop throwing his body around in the ring. "(Former baseball pitcher) Curt Schilling just made that decision. (Former NFL quarterback) Brett Favre as well."

Cena says it's not just limited to pro wrestlers in making a tough decision on giving up their vocation because of the physical nature. Cena says he doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon.

"Any of those guys (pro athletes) who are active and physical come to the point where you can't go at the pace as when you were younger," Cena said. "I am certainly ready to hang up the shoes when it's my time, but as far as me leaving the ring anytime soon, don't count on it."

Cena also talked about his on-screen wrestling character being a reflection of his personality. He said he's successfully transferred that to movies.

"Over the years, I've molded my personality in the WWE to be me. It is kind of me raw and uncut. The fans know I am very honest and genuine with them," Cena said. "I took a lot of the successful attributes I have in WWE and brought them to the silver screen."

Cena was asked about WWE's increased presence in the entertainment industry. He says it should be clear to the general public since WWE has "12 Rounds" and major PPV event in the span of a week.

"The movie opens tomorrow, then on April 5, it's the 25th WrestleMania," Cena said. "To have a major motion picture released the same week with WrestleMania, that speaks volumes to WWE's reach."

Cena closed the interview by talking about his involvement in NASCAR, then he talked about the baseball battle between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East division.

Cena switched his allegiance to the Rays since he lives in Tampa now, but he says he'll always have Red Sox fandom in his blood. He says he knows the Rays players and family members personally, which means he wants to see them succeed.
