Next week's WWE Smackdown two days before WrestleMania 25 will include some pre-taped matches from the Raw taping in Dallas on Monday night and on-camera video from WWE's Fan Axxess events in Houston.

Smackdown announcer Jim Ross says he will tape a few matches with Tazz in Dallas, then Todd Grisham will host specific on-camera segments from Fan Axxess next Thursday in Houston.

"My understanding is we'll tape two or three matches in Dallas. Might be double-segment matches, but I'm not sure," Ross said on the Pain Clinic radio show today. "Elements from Axxess, as I understand it, that will make air will be the on-camera part of it and interaction with the fans. Give it a real WrestleMania feel."

Ross says his schedule will consist of driving to Dallas for the Raw taping on Monday, then record voice-over work from home in Oklahoma on Wednesday night. He'll head down to Houston on Thursday and announce some content for Axxess on Friday, then induct Bill Watts on Saturday.

Ross isn't sure which matches he will be calling at WrestleMania on Sunday, but then Tazz and he will drive up to Austin on Monday to be "booed out of the building" on Tuesday for the Smackdown taping.

Caldwell's Analysis: Nice touch to the WrestleMania build-up by actually bringing the live aspect of WrestleMania to viewers at home to encourage them to order the PPV. In past years, the final Smackdown before Mania has felt like a standard show without a sense of urgency. Changing up the format, incorporating some Hall of Famers into the broadcast, and using the crowd already in Houston should enhance the final show before the PPV.
