Honky Tonk Man (Wayne Farris) issued an apology to WWE VP of talent relations John Laurinaitis this morning after Ferris went off on Laurinaitis last week. (Read the story on HTM going off.)

Farris said through his webmaster: "From all of us at HTM we want to say we were out of place to infer that John Laurinaitis was behind any bait and switch scheme with HTM. ... John was up front with me from day one. He has a difficult job as a middle man trying to negotiate for the final say in everything that happens in the company."

The statement continued: "The final say comes down to Vince McMahon. Can you imagine the number of phone calls John has to make on his day off or the number of calls he receives on a day off from Vince."

Farris closed by thanking Laurinaitis for trying to get him into the WWE Hall of Fame and claimed his apology "has had nothing to do with HTM/TNA."

TNA executive Eric Bischoff cut a promo on HTM during last Friday's "State of TNA" address with a very negative view on the thought of merely being in the same room as HTM. Bischoff also claimed there have been zero negotiations between TNA and HTM.

Farris responded yesterday, claiming Bischoff isn't aware of who has been talking to in TNA. "HTM will soon respond about the truth about the TNA deal and who contacted him," he said. "(Obviously Eric Bischoff doesn't know what his own management team are doing)."
