Around this time each year, WWE formally announces the location of next year's WrestleMania event. An announcement will likely be made this month or in February that WrestleMania 29 will be held at MetLife Stadium in the New York/New Jersey market in March/April 2013 after Triple H visited with stadium officials on Wednesday.

WWE will be breaking from the tradition of hosting WrestleMania in New York at the start of each ten-year sequence following the pattern of WM1, WM10, and WM20. However, there is good reason in WWE's view, as the Super Bowl is scheduled to be held at MetLife Stadium in February 2014, allowing WWE to beat the NFL to the punch by ten months.

MetLife hosting WrestleMania 29 is expected to be followed by Cowboys Stadium in the Dallas/Arlington, Texas market hosting WrestleMania 30 in 2014. However, Cowboys Stadium is scheduled to host the NCAA Final Four the weekend when WrestleMania usually occurs.

WWE could shift WrestleMania 30 to an earlier March date or later April date to avoid a logistical nightmare, but that is still to be sorted out.

Caldwell's Analysis: There are some big headline matches potentially in-play for the next two WrestleManias. How WWE mixes and matches the big stars and situations will be interesting. Does the anticipated Cena-Undertaker match occur at WM29? Does Austin return to face C.M. Punk, Brock Lesnar, or Undertaker at WM29? Or, would Austin save his return match for WM30 in his home state against fellow Texan, The Undertaker, in Taker's potential retirement match? Or, would Austin wrestle two matches? If the Cowboys Stadium Mania show occurs, a combination of Austin, Brock, and/or Taker (depending on all three's availability) would seem to be the biggest draw to break the Mania attendance record. At the same time, WWE needs to build up current stars to be the future money draws for a company that has become a one-event-revenue-driver when Mania does big business, but seemingly all other PPVs fall into the "off-brand" category.
