Kevin Nash says he has interest in returning to TNA, but he still has unfinished business in WWE after ending his run three months ago.

"I'd still like to do something with C.M. Punk in the future. I think we've got a chapter that's still open. Originally it was going to be me and Punk, but it turned out to be me and Hunter," Nash told Rob McNichol of the U.K. Sun, before suggesting that he was handicapped on the mic. "I knew that I wasn't allowed to go off the script in those promos. I think he had a little more leeway than I did."

Nash, conducting the interview on the One Sided Ring podcast, said he can't work 300 days a year and isn't looking to be top champion, but he still thinks he could contribute to WWE, whether it's with Punk or someone else.

"I've had my run. At this point if I can do something to assist somebody to bring them up a rung on the ladder and make the perception that they are a bigger star than they are or give them a little bit of a bump to make sure they become a bigger star, that's my job now," Nash said.

For a more convenient role on national TV, Nash said he would consider returning to TNA, with the TV tapings only 50 miles away from his home in Florida. He added that he's "getting bored" sitting at home.

“The thing that makes TNA work for me is that first of all I have way more friends there than in WWE. I made some friends once I came there - Punk and I got along well, me and (Dolph) Ziggler got along well and I got a chance to hang out with John Cena – but my crew of guys that are still in the business are more the TNA guys," Nash said. "I can put my gear in the trunk, drop the top on my convertible, and be over there and do it.

“I enjoyed being down there. I also part of a lot of the young guys - A.J. (Styles), Eric Young, Bobby Roode - in their early stages of development. Now these guys are becoming stars," Nash said. "I’m not saying I wouldn’t go back. If they had something for me and they needed me, I would go back and do it. Right now, I’m starting to get bored!”

-- Nash also discussed the WrestleMania 28 co-main event of The Undertaker vs. Triple H. Nash said he sees Undertaker wrestling again after Mania despite being on a one-match-per-year schedule and Hunter on special occasions.

"I know that Mark's beat up, like we all are. I know Paul's beat up. His job is behind the scenes and in the office. When he does wrestle it's an added thing," Nash said. "Mark hasn't worked since last Mania, so I think he's just a WrestleMania-type guy. But if it is 'one and done,' he's through after this WrestleMania and he was to get beaten, then I'm sure he'd be inducted into the Hall of Fame and you go from there. But, I personally don't think it will be the last time we see either one of those guys."
