The Undertaker advanced to 20-0 at WrestleMania, defeating Triple H in a 31-minute match that was slotted at the top of the second hour (standard first hour) of WrestleMania 28. This year, Taker walked out on his own power and Hunter was dragged out of the ring, symbolically ending their two-Mania match feud.

The entire match - ring introductions, match, and post-match - consumed nearly the entire hour and featured Jim Ross on commentary, adding an extra element to the historical nature of the match.

Special referee Shawn Michaels was involved throughout the match, teasing stopping the match mid-way through when Hunter blasted Taker with a series of chair shots. This was after Taker dominated the first portion of the match, wrestling his first match since WrestleMania 27 last year.

The match featured numerous close nearfalls, including a well-done spot for Hunter that appeared to be the finish. Michaels's involvement eventually became the third-party wanting the match to end because of the punishment doled out.

The finish was similar to WrestleMania 26 when Michaels memorably climbed up Taker's leg, only to take a Tombstone Piledriver to end Michaels's career. After Taker delivered the Tombstone to Hunter, he scored a decisive three count to maintain the Streak.

After the match, Taker slowly made his way to his feet as Hunter remained motionless. Taker and Michaels shared a moment on their feet, then both men helped Hunter to his feet. They eventually made their way to the top of the ramp and embraced on-stage to symbolically "end the era."
