WWE WrestleMania 28 PPV news & notes

-- The Rock beat John Cena clean with the Rock Bottom in a 30-minute main event. The PPV then signed off three minutes before the top of the hour with Rock celebrating in the ring and Cena selling disbelief ringside, having recovered after being in control for most of the match.

-- The Undertaker advanced his WrestleMania unbeaten streak to 20-0 with a pinfall victory over Triple H in a 30-minute match positioned at the top of the second hour. After the match, Taker, Hunter, and special referee Shawn Michaels shared a group hug on the stage, recognizing the "end of an era."

Jim Ross made his TV return calling the Taker-Hunter match only. Ross then left the broadcast position, leaving Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler to call the rest of the PPV, including Rock-Cena.

-- Two titles changed hands during the PPV. Sheamus captured the World Title from Daniel Bryan and Big Show captured the Intercontinental Title from Cody Rhodes, placing Smackdown's titles in the hands of babyfaces.

In the other Mania title matches, C.M. Punk retained the WWE Title over Chris Jericho in the semi-main event. Also, Primo & Epico retained the WWE Tag Titles over the Usos and Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel on the PPV pre-show.

-- TNA star Ric Flair appeared in-person with the other Four Horsemen members for the 2012 Hall of Fame roll call.

-- John Laurinaitis now has control of the Raw and Smackdown brands after Team Johnny won a 12-man tag match over Team Teddy Long to determine control of the brands.

The Miz ended a 20-match TV/PPV losing streak by scoring the fall for Team Johnny over Zack Ryder. In the post-match, Eve kicked Ryder between the legs after "accidentally" costing Ryder the decisive pinfall.

-- Non-wrestler appearances: Mick Foley and Ron Simmons had cameos in a backstage bit with Santino... Former Diva Torrie Wilson and MLB star Alex Rodriguez were shown sitting ringside during the PPV... Andy Garcia was shown ringside prior to the Punk-Jericho title match... Sean "Diddy" Combs made an unannounced appearance introducing Machine Gun Kelly, who sang John Cena to the ring for the main event.

-- "Extra" host Maria Menounos scored a pinfall on Divas champion Beth Phoenix in a Divas tag match.

-- WWE announced 100 travel packages for WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey for next year's Mania.

-- WWE plugged their next PPV, Extreme Rules, coming at the end of the month with the rulebook essentially thrown out the window.
