WWE Smackdown TV taping preview 4/24

WWE completes the hype for Sunday's Extreme Rules PPV at this week's Smackdown TV taping in Grand Rapids, Mich. Tuesday night. For the Smackdown brand, it's also the completion of a two-week tour following the European Tour.

The top match advertised for this week's Smackdown to be taped Tuesday night is World Hvt. champion Sheamus vs. Mark Henry in a non-title match. This will be a re-match from Raw, which saw Henry defeat Sheamus thanks to a fast count from special referee Daniel Bryan.

Also advertised for Smackdown is Michael Cole interviewing Randy Orton ahead of Orton's Falls Count Anywhere match against Kane at the PPV.

WWE will be completing the hype for the PPV by focusing on Smackdown's top PPV matches of Sheamus-Bryan in a 2/3 Falls match, Orton-Kane, and IC champion Big Show vs. Cody Rhodes. All three are re-matches from WrestleMania.

-- The Smackdown event is also scheduled to feature a six-man tag Street Fight for the live crowd. The advertised match-up is Sheamus & Orton & Big Show vs. Bryan & Mark Henry & Cody Rhodes, with Henry substituting for Kane in the PPV match-ups.

-- WWE will be taping Week 60 of the ongoing NXT: Redemption season, which is expected to see some changes. Derrick Bateman is the only remaining "Rookie" on the show after Titus O'Neil and Darren Young were "signed to Smackdown," and NXT regulars Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins were "fired" from the show by William Regal.
