On Monday's Raw, WWE quickly transitioned from Extreme Rules to their next PPV in less than three weeks, Over the Limit, with a double main event announced.

John Cena may be taking a few weeks off TV, but he is booked for one of the PPV main events against heel authority figure John Laurinaitis. The announcement was made at the end of Raw, when Laurinaitis named himself as Cena's PPV opponent. To set up the match, Laurinaitis attempted to "further injure" Cena's left arm that Brock Lesnar "injured" at Extreme Rules Sunday night.

The other main event is WWE champion C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title. Bryan became #1 contender by winning a Beat the Clock Challenge. Bryan beat Raw announcer Jerry Lawler in the final Challenge match and in the fastest time out of the five matches to set up the title match with Punk.

On a quick turnaround from Extreme Rules to Over the Limit, WWE will likely set up the Smackdown brand's top match on Friday's episode, which will be taped Tuesday night.
