-- A busy weekend of pro wrestling continues tonight with TNA's Final Resolution PPV featuring four of the five main-eventers from last month's very strong PPV. This month, the "champion TNA forgot" A.J. Styles defends the TNA World Title against Daniels and the Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe re-match will be two-out-of-three falls. The undercard will be hit or miss with gimmick matches, multiple-man matches, and two potential show-stealers with the Machineguns vs. British Invasion and ODB vs. Tara. The two main events are different enough from last month to warrant a serious look at ordering the PPV on those two matches alone.

-- Last night's Ring of Honor PPV was a big leap for the promotion airing a live pay event. It may have been too big of a leap, though, as the promotion's first live PPV event was hampered by production problems. ROH is saying the equipment malfunctions - live audio over video packages and ringside commentary not working - were a result of GoFightLive's equipment not functioning how it was tested earlier in the day during run-throughs. ROH is using the live PPV as a learning experience after evaluating where they are with production capabilities for live PPVs. ROH hasn't announced a second live PPV event, as the first step will be evaluating the successes and failures of the first event.

-- Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is emphasizing her family's bankruptcy in the 1970s to "relate to the people of Connecticut" as part of her latest campaign strategy. The Hartford Courant published a lengthy interview/profile where Linda was able to present her spin on Vince McMahon failing as a promoter of a variety of different events prior to Vince buying the modern-day WWE from his father.

McMahon is using that background to say she knows what it's like to face a hard financial situation. Her sales pitch: "We need some folks in Washington with real-life business experience, so I jumped in with both feet because I think I have some unique qualifications." Hartford Courant interview.

-- Staying in Connecticut, several mainstream reports have referenced WWE as a product that would have to be boycotted if filmmaker Michael Moore has his way trying to boycott Connecticut due to Senator Joe Lieberman's position on health care reform. According to the Connecticut Post, Moore said he is angry that Lieberman bullied Senate leadership into stripping health care legislation of a public option or even a Medicare buy-in provison. Lieberman said he could not vote for a bill containing either. Conn. Post report.

Linda McMahon weighed in on the topic during the much-publicized Hartford Courant interview where she backed up Lieberman. Perhaps Moore will target pro wrestling during his next documentary. McMahon said: "I think Sen. Lieberman is voting with his heart and with his conviction, and he's standing up for what he believes is in the best interests of his constituents and the state."

-- TNA wrestler Bobby Lashley still does not have an opponent for his first Strikeforce fight in January. Lashley was at a Strikeforce press conference last night where he said he signed with Strikeforce for the main reason of moving up the heavyweight ranks to fight one of the top fighters in the world, Fedor Emelianenko. Sherdog.com report.
