MITCHELL CLASSIC (5 Yrs. Ago): Red, Black, or Green - Your Chances On Raw Roulette Oct 9, 2007 - 5:09:23 PM
The following article was originally published five years ago this week on PWTorch.com (10-7-02)...
Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal! Longtime connoisseurs of pro wrestling disasters treasure those words. They remember ten years ago when "Cowboy" Bill Watts settled on the Roulette Wheel gimmick to spice up an unsellable WCW pay-per-view. Little did he know the highlight of his aborted return to the sport would be the sight of wrestling legend Jake Roberts jamming his own snake into his face, trying to get it to bite him. It was supposed to be the exciting finish to his main event match with Sting, but the snake was too embarrassed to cooperate.
Eric Bischoff was an announcer in WCW at the time. He thought the big Cowboy was out of his mind, and when Watts messed up for the final time Bischoff, saw his opportunity and made the big move to take over the promotion. Wrestling History was made and Bischoff became the only promoter ever to beat McMahon for a sustained period.
Now Bischoff finds himself in the ironic position of having an idea from a predecessor he didn't respect, and idea he knows doesn't work, used to as a tool for Vince McMahon to humiliate him yet again for having the audacity to have once challenged him. Well, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Us, I mean. we have to watch it.
But you don't care about that. You're a born gambler. You watch Raw every Monday night, willing to gamble two plus hours of your valuable time against the high odds that Raw might actually be watchable. As an astute gambler you study the game before you bet.
Here are the things you need to know to make your own bet on the Raw Roulette wheel:
The Raw Roulette Wheel is set up in the usual fashion: Red or Black.
Red Bets:
-Cage Match: Triple H beats up Chris Jericho again.
-HLA Match: Christian faces Lance Storm (the butch one)
-Hot Tub Match: Triple H vs. two "fitness models," Ric Flair watches
-Reunion Match: Kane & Hurricane defend against Test & Albert
-Bikini Match: Goldust vs, Booker T

-Kiss My Ass Match: William Regal stretches Bischoff, makes him kiss his own ass, leaves for Smackdown.
-Shaved Head Match: Edge runs in from Smackdown, shaves Eric's head again

-Horrible Match Where Someone Is Going To Get Hurt: Rosie & Jamal compete
-Horrible Hardcore Match: Tommy Dreamer vs. someone or another.
