"If you smell what Barack is cooking… I don't get it."
"Just read the line, Senator."
"It's been eight years since good citizens Vince and Linda McMahon used their entertainment and sports mega-corporation to mobilize you, the wrestling fans, into a political power by encouraging them to vote in the presidential elections.
What do you, as wrestling fans, and your country, have to show for the Superstars of WWE inspiring you to do your civic duty for the last eight years?
-eight years under what many, if not most, historians consider the single worst president in our country's history
- an obscenely expensive, hopelessly endless war against an enemy most Americans couldn't specifically name – Mission Accomplished!
- the greatest mass murderer in our country's history unpunished and still free to perhaps strike again
- our international reputation and ability to get things in the world at an all-time ebb
- gas prices at three and a half bucks a gallon and rising – demonstrating between the Bush family, the Saudis, and the rest of us, exactly who owns whom.
- the worst federal deficit in our nation's history
- the collapse of the housing market
- the very real threat of the first economic recession in more than a decade.
- a gutless opposition party that has done nothing it promised since regaining some semblance of power – except queue up to the pork barrel trough.
- the very real possibility that their cheap shot primary campaign will pave the way for the return to the power of the exact same hacks who put the country in the jackpot in the first place and permanently alienate a new generation of voters.
Are the McMahons and pro wrestling fans responsible for all this, just by their vote? The only thing I can tell you is – this never happened before WWE stuck their nose in.
And what about all those dead wrestlers, all those ruined lives, and all those families who live on in pain – who look now to their government to do something to protect those who are left?
They find themselves exploited once again by politicians who'll pander to pretty much anyone to not get elected, but to just survive the primary season one more day.
And what's a little more blood on your hands, compared to becoming the President of the United States?
