RADICAN'S TAKE
RADICAN: 12/13 Impact delivers solid storylines with Feast or Fired, Angle-Christian Dec 17, 2007 - 12:28:43 PM
One of TNA's biggest problems is that all of their featured players come off as mid-card acts, but this was a good show.
My main problems with TNA are the lack of focus on the TNA Hvt. Title and not surrounding Kurt Angle with credible challengers. The show long storylines with Christian looking for a tag partner and the "Deal or No Deal" rip-off skits were well-done. The Feast or Fire concept could actually be a really good gimmick match for TNA if it doesn't get too convoluted, but it looks like that's the direction the angle is heading in.
I've turned the corner on the Team 3D vs. X division angle and now I'm enjoying it. I especially enjoyed the Lethal-Devine Lumberjack match with Sharkboy dressed in Flannel.
I can see where TNA is starting to slowly benefit from two hours, as the characters are becoming more three dimensional than ever before. The women's division has also been an extremely pleasant surprise, as these women all have more personality than the plastic WWE Divas.
The main event with Christian going at it alone against Angle & Roode was one heck of a match until my DVR cut it off. There was a lot to like on this show, as it had a little bit of everything, although I'd like to see the top wrestlers get more serious and stand out from the crowd on Impact.
