Wake the pets and call the neighbors. It's time for our semi-monthly ROH internet pay-per-view preview column!

DISCLAIMER: Projections are made by myself and for myself with absolutely no assistance from James E. Cornette, Gary Juster or The Man With The Lizard Face. No one knows the contents of these projections, but I, in my divine and mystical way, will ascertain the finishes to these matches while being several months behind on my Ring of Honor DVD's. Some of our departing contestants will receive new Blue Lustre Plus carpet shampoo, with grease cutters and brighteners to remove ground-in grime. Remember, this is only an exhibition. This is not a competition. Please, please, no wagering. This lineup is based on the best available information as of this writing.

The big news going into tonight's show is...Oh, just watch the ROH Video Wire. It's less typing for me. Plus, you can watch Prince Nana's attempt to get more views for The Embassy's Flickr page.

And without further ado, let's roll right into this month's Wrestling History Lesson. Before Ring of Honor the "number three promotion" in North America was the Philadelphia-based Extreme Championship Wrestling. The original ECW ran from 1993 through 2001. Among the many wrestlers who passed through ECW were Steve Austin, Mick Foley and the late Eddie Guerrero. A young Gabe Sapolsky worked for the company, as did ROH founder Rob Feinstein and legendary manager Jim Cornette.

Back in the original ECW, the monthly cards at the ECW Arena in Philadelphia meant everything to the insider fans. And back on April 13, 1997, in Philadephia, ECW held its first pay-per-view in that arena, kicking off with the Dudley Boyz defending the ECW Tag Team Titles against The Eliminators. Joey Styles has the call.

And, as your free gift for viewing this column, let's take you back to February 28, 2004, so you can watch Roderick Strong battle Sonjay Dutt on a JAPW show in scenic Rahway, New Jersey.

On with the projections for tonight's show!

I have no idea what the dark match will be for this show, but I hope Chris Silvio is involved.

Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander vs. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin: The C&C Wrestling Factory has been fun as a lowercard tag team on ROH television. Haas and Benjamin aren't exactly fun, but they're darned good heels. Projection? Shelton hits Coleman with Paydirt, and Wrestling's Greatest get their win back.

Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe vs. Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste (Non-title): Yeah, right. Projection? The Briscoes hit the Doomsday Device on Nicholls, and Mark Briscoe scores the fall. Next!

The All Night Express vs. The Young Bucks (Street Fight): The first half of the Dual Duel is a brawl. Amazingly, that should favor Titus and King. Projection? A good old-fashioned bloodbath ending with King hitting Nick Jackson with the Coronation for the victory.

El Generico vs. Kevin Steen: Generico vs. Steen was Ring of Honor's biggest feud of 2010, and they're meeting again fifteen months later. However, only one of these two wrestlers is advertised for Saturday's show. Projection? Steen hits the F5 and beats Generico this time, which conveniently sets up his match with Eddie Edwards on Saturday.

Jay Lethal vs. Kyle O'Reilly (ROH Television Title): Angry Kyle O'Reilly is angry going into this big title match. Lethal does a great job of carrying himself like a big wrestling star, one trick that he probably picked up from the Macho Man and Ric Flair. Projection? O'Reilly falls short, eating the Lethal Combination.

Lance Storm vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/ Maria Kanellis): It's always good to see the former U.S. champion on the big, er, little stage of Ring of Honor. Mike Bennett is a guy who needs some gravitas. This match is exactly what it looks like. Projection? Maria distracts referee Paul Turner, and Bennett hits a low blow to defeat the Canadian legend.

Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Roderick Strong (ROH World Title): On the Video Wire, Roderick Strong talked about the being a full-time ROH wrestler, as opposed to Davey Richards, who is "never here" due to his Japan commitments. Really? We're going THERE? In Ring of Honor? Projection? After a lengthy struggle, Davey catches Roderick with the D.R. Driver and keeps the ROH title.

Aftermath: On Saturday night, it's Part Two. Let's take Fire Ant over T.J. Perkins, O'Reilly over Cole, The Bucks over the ANX, The Briscoes over Haas & Benjamin, Strong over Lethal, Steen over Edwards and Richards over Elgin.
