Overall thoughts: (7.0) - There's a lot to like here, as this is like a super-sized JCW iPPV taped exclusively for DVD. Usually JCW iPPVs have one music performance, but "New Years Eve Ninja Party," has a ton of music performances in-between several of the matches on the JCW card. The only downside to this release is that the crowd wasn't mic'd, so you see people going insane during the wrestling and musical performances, but you can't really hear them.

I liked all of the musical performances on the card, especially Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Mike E. Clark. Blaze had a fun set, but the real star was his shirt, which featured a cartoon dinosaur with the caption "All My Friends Are Dead." Mike E. Clark tore the house down with an awesome set featuring mostly ICP and Twizted songs. Clark looked like a mad scientist surrounded by video screens that enhanced his performance greatly. Sugar Slam also helps move things along giving away gifts to "Motherf-----" that didn't get nothing for Christmas" with the held of her "ladies."

Moving along on the musical front of things here, i was stunned at how good the Michael Jackson impersonator was. I was expecting someone awful, but the person they chose to do a performance of "Thriller" was really good at nailing the singing and dancing mannerisms of Jackson. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, as I know Violent J is a big fan of Jackson's music. It was really fun to see the Jackson impersonator perform complete with zombie backup dancers.

The main event musical performance was ICP doing a performance to ring in the new year that went around 45 minutes. They did a really good set covering a lot of their hits. Mike E. Clark came back up and served as the DJ. I really enjoyed the performance, especially the end when all the JCW wrestlers came out for the last song. Heck, even Legz Diamond the ring announcer made a cameo playing guitar during ICP's set. As i touched on earlier, hearing the crowd during ICP's set would have made a huge difference since they interact a lot with their fans, but I couldn't really hear the fans at all during their set.

As for the wrestling portion of this release, it was a lot of fun to watch. Kevin Gill, who is one of my favorite commentators, went solo on this release and held up quite well. I like the chemistry he has with Shaggy 2 Dope on JCW shows, but KG got off some great one-liners and moved things along quite nicely.

The whole wrestling show was fun and the matches were kept short for the most part. I really enjoyed Weedman vs. Officer Colt Cabana. They've really done all they can with this feud, but it's still fun to see them wrestle, as Cabana gets the crowd going with his heel schtick in JCW. Both men looked good in the match and Weedman hit a nice superkick to get the win over Cabana much to the delight of the crowd.

The Ring Rydas are another act that is fun to watch and they put together some nice double teams moves while beating Raven and Sexy Slim Goody for the JCW Tag Team titles. Raven and Goody didn't get along during the match and it ended up costing their team. After the match Raven pushed Goody around and Gill got off a hilarious line that Raven was like a cyber bully, but he was doing his bullying in person instead.

The card was broken up nicely with a good brawling match with Mahoney & Butcher & Pondo beating the Bumpin Uglies. Gill was funny once again here marveling at Mahoney's hair, which he compared to a lion's mane. Rhino beat the Samoan Warrior in a short match for the gore, which was only memorable because of Gill's commentary. Gill hilariously stated during Warrior's entrance that his entrance theme, which was a cheesy '80s pop song was currently number one on the charts in Samoa.

The main event featured crowd favorite 2 Tuff Tony teaming with Shockwave the Robot in his debut to defeat the Headbangers. Shockwave the Robot was pretty funny to watch, especially during his entrance as Gill rooted for him to continue to dance. Whoever it is that does the Shockwave the Robot gimmick is really good at it. 2 Tuff Tony got the win here with a double flaming fist to send the fans home happy, but it should be noted that the Headbangers looked good here and look like they're getting into good shape to make another run at a TNA or WWE contract.

This is definitely worth checking out if your a fan of wrestling and the musicians on ICP's Psychopathic Records. I really enjoyed the music and the wrestling. The only thing that hampers is this release is the crowd not being mic'd properly, but given that this only costs around $10, it still gets a solid recommendation.
