SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Former WWE star Dave Bautista continued his U.K. media tour Saturday morning on “Soccer AM” discussing the transition from WWE to movies and his “Bond” villain role of Mr. Hinx.

Bautista wore a custom #10 “Drax” Tottenham football jersey for the featured interview. Asked whether cutting WWE promos translated to movies, Bautista said he had to separate the two because WWE is more “conversational” and improv, while movie roles require delivering specific lines over and over for different camera shots.

Asked how he got the role of “Mr. Hinx” in the new “Spectre” movie, Bautista said the filmmakers were impressed with his work as “Drax” in Guardians of the Galaxy and thought he could fit a particular villain role they had in mind.

Asked about a fight scene with lead Bond actor Daniel Craig, Bautista acknowledged that Craig did punch him in the nose and bloody his suit. Bautista said he impressed everyone with how quickly he recovered and was ready to continue the fight scene. He noted he was used to getting punched in the nose during his previous line of work, so he could handle it.

The hosts of the show tried to get Bautista to attend a football match before leaving the U.K. on Tuesday, but he said he had “Bond” media and other obligations. As far as his movie role goes, Bautista teased having a special Bond villain talent to go with his character’s confident smirk.

Bautista finished up his appearance by engaging in a regular skit attempting to score a goal against a giant animated goalie. Bautista, sporting hefty Timbaland shoes, nearly made it on his third try despite having improper footwear.

– Earlier in the week, Bautista appeared on “Good Morning Britain” promoting a special screening of the new Bond movie, “Spectre.”
