SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

A statement attributed to WWE was published online addressing heavy blood in the Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker main event at Hell in a Cell.

It has come to our attention that the statement actually followed WrestleMania 31 earlier this year when Brock Lesnar allegedly bladed during the main event against Roman Reigns:

“WWE programming is TV-PG and we don’t permit intentional bleeding. The communication or contact between our performers and referees is part of our safety protocol. That said, unintentional blood sometimes occurs, and we do our best to minimize.”

The statement was circulated on Monday since it also applies to Lesnar vs. Taker because of how broad the statement was in addressing generalities about WWE policy without addressing a specific incident.
