SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

Monday night on Raw, WWE revealed a 16-person bracket for the WWE Title tournament set to begin on this week’s Raw and Smackdown episodes leading into the Survivor Series PPV.

Notably absent from the tournament are top stars John Cena and Brock Lesnar, who are both away from TV, but their absences hover over the tournament from a storyline perspective.

Roman Reigns, who was #1 contender heading into Survivor Series, is included in the tournament. WWE also included Tyler Breeze, Kalisto from Lucha Dragons, Titus O’Neil from Prime Time Players, and current mid-level champions Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens. WWE tag champions New Day and the Wyatt Family are not represented.

From a placement standpoint, it’s possible for Reigns and Dean Ambrose to meet in the tournament finals, as they are on complete opposite sides of the bracket.

Bracket A

  • Roman Reigns vs. Big Show
  • Cesaro vs. Sheamus
  • Alberto Del Rio vs. Stardust
  • Kalisto vs. Ryback

Bracket B

  • Titus O’Neil vs. Kevin Owens
  • Neville vs. King Barrett (KOTR Finals re-match)
  • Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz
  • Dean Ambrose vs. Tyler Breeze
