Goldberg reveals opponents he'd like to face in WWE

SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)...

In a new interview, Bill Goldberg floated information that he was recently approached by TNA to wrestle again. However, Goldberg made it sound like he was unconvinced by the offer.

“I just got contacted by TNA a couple of days ago. I don’t know. They want to promote the movie (“Checkpoint”) since one of my adversaries in the film is Bram (Thomas Latimer), who works for them,” Goldberg told Scott Fishman for Channel Guide Magazine.

“I’m greatly appreciative they want to help the movie out. Now at the end of day promoting the movie is one thing, but getting a guy like Goldberg in your wrestling organization is a completely different story. We’ll see.”

Goldberg openly discussing his talks with TNA could be viewed as public negotiations with WWE, who would provide the largest platform for Goldberg to wrestle an official final match.

“Everything has to be taken into consideration if I had another match,” Goldberg said. “As long as I got this little boy with a desire to see me do something in the ring, there is the idea of never say never.”

However, Goldberg says WWE has not shown any interest. “When something supersedes your business sense, it has to be ego or something ridiculous. I surely am not going to miss a bit of sleep if I don’t get a phone call from them,” Goldberg said.

Goldberg’s interview was to promote his role in the new military-themed “Checkpoint” movie, which is scheduled for release in 2016. The movie was screened at the American Film Market in California earlier this month.
