– It’s another huge Friday in independent wrestling. The Kliq is in Altoona, Pa. for Big Time Wrestling, Sami Callihan officially returns to the indies for Rockstar Pro, Mick Foley headlines Maryland Championship Wrestling, Ricky Steamboat is making an appearance, and NWA Mid-South has a packed card. – WWE NETWORK HIGHLIGHTS: WWE is early-releasing this week’s Superstars episode at 3:00 p.m. EST before the regular airing at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Mick Foley was profiled by the Wall Street Journal for his appreciation of Santa Claus, especially at his $1.1 million home in Smithtown, New York. WSJ quoted “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on Foley having good spending habits, allowing him to afford a nice home after retiring from the ring.

– Former WWE Diva Melina is not in the plans for Season 2 of Lucha Underground, reports former TMZ producer Ryan Satin. The writing crew reportedly does not have a role for Melina, as they do not want to repeat the John Morrison (Johnny Mundo) & Melina pairing from WWE TV.

Chris Jericho, while finishing up a U.K. tour with “Fozzy,” commented on the reported death of rocker Scott Weiland.

– And, finally, AAA stars had a presence at the NBA’s Mexico City game between the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics on Thursday night. AAA stars LA Parka and El Hijo del Fantasma appeared courtside at the game.
