SHOW SUMMARY: This week’s show had so many talking points. From Roman Reigns being forced by Vince McMahon to defend his WWE Title in the Royal Rumble match itself, to the “New Japan 4” that are very likely to sign with WWE in the next month with A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura being the two with the highest profiles. With the Rumble format change, WWE has an amazing opportunity to tell some major stories in the match that lead to WrestleMania. Speaking of which, during the VIP aftershow, news broke that John Cena is having rotator cuff surgery and will miss 6 to 9 months of action, which obviously leaves him off the Mania card for the first time in 13 years. Also, in the VIP, New Japan was discussed further, as well as books we are currently reading.
